Parents and children have warm memories of that special time right before bedtime, where snuggled together they end the day with a book. Reading stories and listening to music are among the most powerful and nurturing early childhood learning experiences. PJ Library is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, made possible through partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations. Today, families in hundreds of communities across the United States and Canada are able to explore the timeless core values of Judaism through books and music.
Greensboro's PJ Library program is available for local children age 6 months to eight years old through a partnership between B'nai Shalom Day School, Greensboro Jewish Federation and the generosity of a local donor. Children receive a monthly gift of a Jewish book or CD at no cost. The books and CDs that are part of PJ Library have been specially chosen by children’s literature and music experts, because they communicate Jewish stories, heritage and values. PJ Library is sure to be an essential part of your family’s growing Jewish library. To enroll your child(ren), click here.
