Affording B’nai Shalom

Tuition makes it possible for us to offer the innovative, inspiring, and nurturing program that our families cherish. B’nai Shalom’s Tuition Assistance Policy is closely connected to our school’s mission: to inspire curiosity, critical-thinking, confidence, and connection to Jewish values. We recognize that tuition represents a significant commitment. Our goal at B’nai Shalom is to make exceptional education available to as many students and families as possible, therefore we offer customized tuition to meet your families needs.

B’nai Within Reach:

This program is designed to give tuition assistance to families that have students who are enrolled in K-8. The advantage of this program is a shorter application process (should take approximately 5 minutes to complete). Preschool students are only eligible if they have a sibling in K-8.

Traditional Tuition Assistance:

Should your family need more assistance than B’nai Within Reach can offer, you may apply for traditional tuition assistance. Traditional tuition assistance is based on demonstrated financial need. Once a student has been admitted, families are eligible to apply for this assistance through our confidential and independent financial assessment service, FACTS.

Infant Room students are not eligible for Tuition Assistance.

Additional Funding:

Gesher Grant

Rising Kindergarten through 2nd grade students are eligible for the Gesher Grant. The Gesher Grant (meaning “bridge” in Hebrew) is intended to help bridge the financial gap between Preschool and Lower School and will be offered in addition to Tuition Assistance. This grant was made possible thanks to the generosity of donors in conjunction with our 50th Anniversary Campaign.

Opportunity Scholarship

The North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA) created the Opportunity Scholarship to help eligible families pay for a private school education for school age students. This scholarship helps offset tuition cost for qualifying families.

Would my family qualify for
Tuition Assistance?

The estimate below is based on the Tuition Assistance that our current families receive. It is not a replacement for the Tuition Assistance application process.

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining a families tuition assistance package including family income, debt, housing costs, and student age. The average tuition noted above is not a promise of Tuition Assistance. Please contact our Admissions team to discuss your specific situation and the Tuition Assistance application process.
