Once you have submitted your application, students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade must have the Records Release Form and Teacher Recommendation Forms completed by your child’s current school. These forms are available within the online application.

Shadow Day
Shadow Day

We invite applicants ages 3 and older to spend a day visiting our school. This Shadow Day provides us an opportunity to determine if your child is a good match for our school and if we are a good match for your child.

For students entering Kindergarten and older, the Shadow Day will also include screening assessments that will measure your child’s math, reading, writing and language skills in addition to social and emotional development.

B’nai Shalom operates on a rolling admissions schedule. All families will be notified within two weeks of completing the application process. Once a student has been admitted, families are eligible to apply for tuition assistance.

 

As a pluralistic Jewish day school, we are proud of the fact that our families hail from diverse Jewish backgrounds. While many of our students come from families that are Reform, Conservative or Orthodox, we also have many families who do not identify with a particular denomination. All of our families come together in the desire to ground their children with a strong sense of Jewish values. 

As a Jewish day school, we believe it's important for applicants to understand the religious criteria we've established to be eligible for enrollment. While our Preschool is open to students from different religious backgrounds, in order to enroll in our K-8 program applicants must either be Jewish or have attended a Jewish Preschool.
