Preschool (8 Weeks - Pre-K)

The goal of B'nai Shalom preschool is to provide a developmentally appropriate, nurturing Jewish environment for your child.

Our preschool program is licensed by the state of North Carolina. This play-based, learner-centered environment nurtures your child's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Jewish traditions, holidays, and Hebrew language are woven throughout the curriculum. The preschool is part of the larger school community, allowing your child to interact with all ages of the B’nai Shalom family.

Children partner with upper-school buddies on a weekly basis, working collaboratively toward a common goal.

In addition to the regular classroom activities, preschoolers enjoy Physical Education, Art, Music, and Library.

Infant Room

Our state-of-the art program launched in August 2017 and is a one-of-a-kind baby program to Greensboro, and surrounding areas. With custom made wood furniture, loving and nurturing teachers, babies get the care, attention and encouragement to hit developmental milestones.

As with the rest of the preschool, each child is growing and learning at their own pace - something we respect and encourage. B'nai Babies is a full day program with drop off as early as 7:30AM and pick-up through 6:00pm. Our 3:1 baby-to-teacher ratio ensures your baby gets the attention and care she/he deserves.

Toddler Program (Ganohn)

Your child can begin their Gahnon experience at B’nai Shalom as young as twelve months old. Every day, your toddler engages in playful learning activities that help enhance their gross motor, fine motor, and social/emotional skills such as sensory activities, building blocks, singing songs, and doing artwork together.

Your toddler will also enjoy going on daily walks/stroller rides that allow for exploration and further exposure to the school environment.

The gym and playground provide your toddler with the opportunity to expand her/his physical and social development with their friends.

The toddlers learn from and are loved and cared for by every member of the school.

Preschool 2/3 (Kitat Gar'een)

Your child engages in fun, safe, creative activities daily. We nurture the whole child in a developmentally appropriate way, by learning through play.

Your child will explore teacher modeled activities by using their creativity and curiosity to experiment with their work.

Preschool 3/4 (Kitat Nitzan)

This class has bi-weekly, project based themes that expose your children to math, science and pre-literacy experiences in a creative way.

Activities are teacher modeled but your children are given the freedom to create and explore in order to have an individualized experience.

Pre-Kindergarten (Kitat Ilan)

The Pre-Kindergarten class is a bridge between our lower school and the preschool, and offers a full day option!

The Pre-K program is theme-based around the Jewish and secular calendars. Your child is encouraged to be an inquisitive learner and critical thinker.

Academic readiness skills are aligned with themes to ensure that your child is given the necessary tools to prepare him/her for more formal learning in kindergarten. Your child will have weekly lessons in the Kindergarten classroom and work in weekly journals.
